We are seeking a passionate and experienced individual to join our team as Tour Operator of our company.
Title: Tour Operator
Location: Halifax
Job Type: Full-time
Requirements:
1. 1 or more years of experience in the tourism or travel industry or other customer service experience.
2. Bachelor’s Degree or higher in business, commerce, or another discipline relevant to the travel industry.
3. Advanced interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
4. Strong organizational and time management skills.
5. Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
6. Experience building and strengthening relationships with external partners.
7. International travel experience (preferred but not required).
8. Bilingual Mandarin and English.
Duties/Responsibilities:
1. Plan, direct and evaluate tour operations of the company.
2. Source and negotiate with vendors, travel partners, ground handling agents, tour operators and hotels to manage bookings, schedules, and promotions.
3. Participate in the development of pricing and promotional strategies.
4. Develop and implement marketing strategies.
5. Plan budgets, authorize expenditures, and monitor revenues.
6. Evaluate and improve customer service and respond to customer requests and issues regarding services, tour packages, invoicing, travel arrangements, etc.
